I am always grateful that I have a lovely husband. The first time we met was at East Coast Park. If not for his asthma, we would not have become husband and wife.

One Friday evening , I was jogging at my favourite park - East Coast Park . I was panting heavily . Despite being in my forties , I maintained a strict jogging regime. I was jogging along the path. I like flowers! The park was scenic. Many golden hues from the colour of leaves were laid on the ground. I was attracted to its natural beauty , smell and colours .

I slowed down my pace to drink water. I was so thirsty that I drank the whole water bottle. Luckily, I had brought along two bottles. I continued to jog, a little leap in each step. The glory of flowers and its fragrance kept me company.

I plodded on. In front of me , a man with a few streaks of grey hair was jogging steadily at a pace I could not catch up. The next moment , his knees gave way and he wobbled and staggered. He started to pant heavily. Then to my utter shock, he collapsed . I quickly ran to his aid. I was clueless on what to do. I sought help from a passer-by. Both of us carried him to a nearby bench.

I searched in his pocket and found an asthma breather. Realizing, that he had an asthma attack, I took my water bottle and splashed it on his face. His eyes opened a little and he started breathing. I gave him his asthma breather and he quickly breathed in and out .

After a few deep breaths , he calmed down. He stood up and thanked us profusely. Then, he turned to me to apologise for the trouble. I could feel the romance in my heart. I was smitten with his sincere eyes and gentlemanly manner.

That was how we first met. Since then. we became good friends .We jogged together every Friday evening. We soon fell deeply in love and had since vowed to spend our lifetime together.
