Very important: you need to read this!

Do you remember this quiz time question in your science task sheets?

The correct answer should be (3), NOT (1).

Found from this website, while the non-green parts of leaves contain chlorophyll which is masked behind other colored pigments, the white parts of the leaves lack chlorophyll.

Go to this link on testing for starch on a variegated leaf. What do you think is the answer to the question?: A leaf needs chlorophyll to perform photosynthesis based on that information, where on the variegated leaf do you think you would find starch?
