Aim:
To find out if water is needed for photosynthesis.
Hypothesis:
Water is needed for photosynthesis.
Materials needed:
1. 2 similar plants.
2. Water
3. 1 beaker
Procedure:
1. Have 2 set-ups ready.
2. Put both plants under the sun.
3. Use the beaker to pour the water to Plant A every day.
4. Observe the observation for a few days.
student E needs more materials for his experiment eg.:tripod ,gas burner ,beaker ,wire gauze ,dropper ,iodine solution ,alcohol and white tile
ReplyDeletestudent E should destarch the plants first before placing them under the sun and he should write how to find out that plants need water for photosynthesis
it must be place in the dark box
Delete1. We shold change the it to two identical plants at the procedure 1.
ReplyDelete2. The materials need to have more eg. 2 white tiles, boiled water and warm alcohol.
3. There should be more procedures after the last procedure eg. Pluck one leaf from each plant. Put them into boiled water. Then put them into warm alcohol to lose its colour. After that, put both leaves into warm water to soften them. Put them onto the 2 white tiles. Then put iodine solution onto the leaves. Check if the colour of the iodine solution changes.
Student E is wrong as his materials is not enough. There should be forceps,2 white tiles, iodine solution, warm alcohol & some boiling water. For his procedures/steps, he did not mention the destarching of the plant,or the testing of starch,or the softening or killing the plant or taking the plant's chlrophyll.

materials needed:
ReplyDelete2 identical plants
2 beakers
dropper
iodine solution
gas burner
dark curboard
forsep
water
light
warm alcohol
white tile
Procedure:step 1:put 2 plants in the dark curboard for 2 24 to 48 hours
Step 2:take out the plants from the dark curboard.
Step 3:WAter 1 plant.
Step 4:pluck out each leaf from both plant.
step 5:boil both leaves seprately.
Step 6:put both leaves in the warm alcohol seprately.
Step 7:put the 2 alcohols with both leaves in it into the boiling water.
Step 8:Wait for the leaves to lose its colour.
Step 9:when the leaves lose their colours, use forsep to take both leaves out from the alcohol.
Step 10:put both leaves onto the white tiles.
Step 11:drop the iodine solution onto the leaves.
Step 12: Observe the changes if the iodine solution turns dark blue.

ReplyDeleteThe person did not write tiles, iodine solution and a dropper for the materials.
ReplyDeleteAnd for the steps, he did not mention the destarching of the plant,or the testing of starch,or the softening or killing the plant or taking the plant's chlrophyll.
You spelt white wrongly.
Delete1.Materials needed is too less like:iodine solution,alcohol,2 beakers,gas burners,2 white tiles,tripod stand,wire gauze,dropper,chemical that absorbs carbon dioxide,foreceps and water.
ReplyDelete1.Havetwo set ups ready 2.Destarch the plants for 12-24 hours.
3.Place 2 set-ups in a place where there is sunlight.
4.Water plant A everyday
5.After 3-4 days later,pluck one leaf from plant A and B.
6.Place each leaf in boiling water for 30 seconds.
7.Soak each leaf in a boiling tube of warm alcohol until the leaf loses its colour.
8.Soak each leaf in a beaker of water to soften the leaf before it is tested for starch.
9.Use a dropper to drop a drop of iodine soluton
on a white tile
10.After that the experiment is complted
7.After that,
materials:2 similar plant,water,dark box,white tile,a beaker of warm alcohol,tripod stand,a beaker of water,dropper,iodine solution.
ReplyDelete1)put both the plants in a dark box.
2)Remove the plants after two days
3)put both the plants under the sunlight
4)label the plants A and B
5)the plant which is watered daily would be label A.
6)set-up B would not be watered.
7)pluck out one leaf from each plant after two days.
8)soak the leaves in boiling water for 30 seconds
9)put the leaves in to a beaker of warm alcohol
10)put it in a water to soften the leaves.
11)put the leaf on the white tile
12)use the dropper and drop the iodine solution on the leaf
13)observe the colour of the iodine solution
it should be boiling water.

ReplyDeleteStundent E's experiment is not totally complete.
My comments about Student E's experiment:
The aim and hypothesis is correct.
To do this experiment,Student E need one more material,a dark cardboard,to store the plants in it to destarch the plants as it cannot receive any sunlight when placed in it.
Step 1,Student E cannot write 'Have 2 set-ups,Set-up A and B ready.'Instead Student E should write 'Place both plants in the cardboard.'
Step 2,Student E should place the plants in the dark cardboard for about 24 to 48 hours instead of placing it under the Sun.
Step 3,Student E should take both plants out of the dark cardboard and place the plants near the window so the plants can get the sunlight
Step 4,Stundent E must water plant A everyday.
Step 5,pluck a leaves from each plant and boil it with alcohol.
Step 6,after boiling, use the dropper to drop the iodine solution on the leaves.Check the leaves.
i spelled wrong the,the cardboard,it should be
