Heads crashed together, feet were swung off the floor and hands grasped onto handles. Everyone was taken by shock and surprise. A screeching sound was emitted through the whole train toward Kovan station .
"All passengers, please keep calm. This train will resume its operation in fifteen minutes. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused. Thank you," an announcement was made.
Everyone groaned, but no one groaned as loudly as the boy who was flung off due to the abrupt stopping as he did not hold on to the handles or poles.
"My bum .. IT HURTS!" the boy, Louis, wailed ,tears slowly streaming down his face, down onto his striped T-shirt.
"Are you alright? Any bruised elbows?" his friend asked anxiously. "I've got plasters!" he continued.
"No bruised elbows but a bruised bum!" Louis whined, with a pissed look on his face.
"My head hurts from banging onto the glass frame!"
"My hands gripped the handles so hard I swear my fingers can drop off anytime !"
"I almost flew away !"
The train was in chaos. Sad to say, babies started crying as the cabin became stuffy, adding on to the chaos.
After much consoling from some grannies, Louis stood up slowly. All he heard were complaints! That only worsened his headache.
"I'm sure to get a shelling down from my boss!" a business man actually WHINED.
"I'll be late for my meeting ..." muttered another .
As though the train heard their complaints, there was a low humming sound and in seconds, the train came into life and started to move again! Everyone cheered while a few still sulked like babies who just got their pacifiers taken away.
Consequently, the train company, SNRT, was fined for the breakdown Many people thought that SNRT SHOULD be fined .
After that fateful Tuesday, Louis always made sure to hold the handles and poles . Still, he had to learn ... THE HARD WAY .
