An Article a Day - Panda's Arrival from China may be delayed by two months 6.3.2012

The eagerly awaited arrival of two VIPs (very important pandas) - Kai Kai and Jia Jia - from China may be (1)d_____________by two months.


The cuddly (2)d___________ on loan for 10 years from the China Wildlife Conservation Association (CWCA) were originally expected to move into their home at the upcoming River Safari attraction in Mandai by this month.


Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS), the parent company for the river-themed animal attraction and Singapore Zoo, said it hopes to welcome the pandas before the June school holidays.


WRS (3)d__________ not say if the (4)d___________ will affect the public (5)d____________of the pandas, which was slated for October, when the entire River Safari opens.

      No.I don't think the two pandas will be able to adapt the living in Singapore.China has winter but Singapore doesn't have.

    Will the pandas be ablew to adapt to Singapore?
    Ans:No they will not be able to adapt to Singapore because in China there are all types of weather and the pandas are already used to it from young.While in Singapore it is different as we olny have one weather.They will find it strange as when seasons come in China they will feel strange as why the 'routine' of the seasons are not the same.Example they will prepare everthing they were doing in China (when seasons comes) but after awhile they will notice that the weather are not the same.

    No,I do not think Kai Kai and Jia Jia will be able to adapt living in Singapore as it has been living in China for a long time.It would have bamboo trees and different food fed there.

    No,I do not think they will adapt living in Singapore because the climate here is different from China.Pandas are wild animals and they are more comfortable living in undisturbed mountains with lots of bamboos to eat.

    My answer depends on the period of time they begin to stay and leave singapore.On the first few days,they will not adapt to singapore's hot weather while after years,they will get use to it.

    I don't think Jia Jia and Kai Kai will adapt to be living in Singapore.
    Pandas have to stay in a cooling place to live and they are not used to the surrounding in Singapore.

    The two pandas will not be able to adapt living in Singapore so quickly,may be after a year or more they will eventually get use to live in Singapore.The two pandas will feel that the weathers are different and the food they eat are also different.But after some times,the will get use to the way they have to live in Singapore.

    No.They are not familiar with the visitors and not able to live in the hot weather in singapore.

    I do not think that Kai Kai and Jia Jia will be able to adapt to living in Singapore as their habitat is in China and they might take a long time to feel accomfortable in Singapore as the wether in Singapore is different from China.
